I’m in love with this gif. Everything about it. The rain drizzling. The candle flickering. The colors. I love it.

"It is illegal for women to go topless in most cities, yet you can buy a magazine of a woman without her top on at any 7-11 store. So, you can sell breasts, but you cannot wear breasts, in America."

This is one of my favorite quotes about sexualization/objectification vs autonomy of female bodies bc it’s so succinct

I wish I had a close gay friend who I can confide in with my feelings. I want someone to talk to without hearing “She’s probably straight”, “Be careful, I don’t want you to get hurt since she might not be into girls” etc etc bullshit. I just want to talk about my feelings, not hear things I already know. People say that they won’t treat you differently but they do just by those simple words. Would they have ever said that if a girl was talking about her feelings for a guy? Or a guy talking about his feelings for a girl? Do they ever say “He’s probably gay”, “Be careful, he might not be into you because he might be into guys”? I know that being heterosexual is more common, but I just want to talk about girls and not have to deal with the whole “She’s probably straight” bullshit. This is probably the biggest reason I only talk about girls I’m infatuated by or crushing on and not the girls I actually have feelings for.

s-un-rise:

as we grow older, we are taught to put homework first, always. we are taught to set aside our interests to complete busy work. we are taught to indulge in time fillers, rather than doing what we really want. and so then, once in a blue moon, when we happen to have a day of no work, we don’t know what to do with ourselves. we forget what it means to be spontaneous; we learn to sit at a desk and focus. and I think that’s a shame
